The way it works is that you can download the day's featured product, and you can install and use it for free, as long as you install it before the giveaway period for that product is over and don't uninstall it. If you uninstall it or reformat you drive, you cannot reinstall it because the giveaway period for that product is over -- at first I didn't know that and just downloaded the programs, which sucks, because there were some good ones that I missed out on because I didn't know you had to install them the same day.
Overall, it is worth checking out to see if you want that day's software. Some days I get it, some days I don't want it -- the thing is, check it every day because it is free software that you would normally have to pay for.
